Frustrated with the high startup costs, particularly for stainless steel equipment, they decided to take matters into their own hands. With connections to a major Asian factory, they developed a small range of stainless steel benches and priced them right—offering a 40% discount compared to what was available on the market.
They started with just six bench sizes in a single container, stored in a tiny warehouse, and personally delivered each order. Within weeks, they were running low on stock and quickly realized they were onto something. What started as a small operation has grown into a company with large warehouses in every Australian capital and an expanding presence in New Zealand.
Over the past 20 years, Brayco has sold over 200,000 benches and 50,000 sinks, and if they lined up all the wall shelves they’ve sold, they would stretch over six times the height of the Empire State Building.
